One of the alcohol abuse facts that somehow escapes quite a few people’s perception is that unhealthy drinking normally negatively affects relationships. Stated more forcefully, to a fairly great degree, unhealthy and excessive drinking is to relationships what drug abuse is to an individual’s health or what faulty brakes are to the safety of the driver of a vehicle. In all of these cases, the result is generally a disaster.

When the correlation between hazardous and abusive drinking and relationships is looked at a little more thoroughly, nonetheless, you can find some logical reasons why unhealthy and excessive drinking and relationships don’t go together in a healthy or positive way.

Abusive and Hazardous Drinking Lowers an Individual’s Inhibitions

First, excessive and careless drinking lessens a person’s inhibitions. This frequently means that someone who has been drinking has less control over what he or she says and does. The result is that individuals in a relationship who have been drinking are more likely to engage in insensitive and malicious verbal battles and/or cruel physical behavior that may well not have taken place if neither individual was drinking.

Hazardous Drinking Negatively Influences a Person’s Reasoning, Decision-Making, and Problem Solving Abilities

Second, excessive and irresponsible drinking adversely affects an individual’s problem solving, decision-making, and reasoning skills and abilities. Indeed, if somebody resorts to defective problem solving, reasoning, and decision-making skills, this regularly adversely affects the choices someone makes as well as his or her behavior. Such a predicament, it is proclaimed, is calamity waiting to happen when relationships are concerned due to the sheer number of decisions and troubles that need to be tackled on a recurring basis.

Heavy and Hazardous Drinking Generally Influences the Drinker’s Finances in a Very Harmful Way

Third, abusive drinking usually influences the drinker’s finances in a very detrimental way. In the end, whether someone buys his or her alcohol at a bar and grill, restaurant, sports event, liquor store, or drinks at home, unhealthy drinking is not cheap. And if cash is spent on drinking rather than on food, utilities, the rent, credit card bills, car or truck payments, the mortgage, and so on, critical difficulties in a relationship are possibly right around the corner.

Irresponsible and Heavy Drinking Commonly Manifests Itself at an Individual’s Place of Employment

Fourth, careless drinking generally manifests itself at work. To the degree that this happens, one’s ability to make a living is critically placed in a dangerous circumstance and this, in turn, adversely affects an individual’s relationships.

Excessive and Heavy Drinking Frequently Leads to Troubles With the Law

Finally, irresponsible and unhealthy drinking commonly results in difficulties with the law. Clearly one or more DUIs, as an example, can’t do anything but negatively affect a relationship from a financial and from an emotional perspective.

You Need Motivation to Get Alcohol Rehab to Stop Your Abusive Drinking

So what is the message to be taken away from this discussion? First, if you want to have solid, beloved relationships in your life, steer clear from hazardous and abusive drinking. Second, if you are a drinker and you are in a relationship, if you want to keep this relationship or perhaps make it stronger, then make sure you always drink responsibly or not at all. And third, if you have alcohol problems that are adversely affecting your relationship, please seek more alcohol information and consider getting alcohol treatment.

Conclusion

To bring this discussion to a close, it can be seen that irresponsible and careless drinking adversely influences a person’s relationships because it lowers a person’s inhibitions and results in hurtful and heated verbal abuse and/or violence.

It can also be determined that abusive and careless drinking adversely impacts a person’s reasoning, decision-making, and problem solving abilities, hence leading to poor choices and actions.

In a very related way, abusive and irresponsible drinking normally adversely impacts the drinker’s finances, as a result affecting the money management abilities of the individuals who are actively involved in the relationship. Moreover, excessive and unhealthy drinking typically negatively affects a relationship mainly because of alcohol-related employment difficulties.

And finally, irresponsible and careless drinking regularly contributes to alcohol related difficulties with the law such as DUIs, jail time, and fines and penalties. Plainly, such legal problems adversely affect most treasured relationships.

Ideas For Getting Through A Lonely Period

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

It can be hard to keep a positive attitude sometimes, especially when you are on your own. This can be a good time to think about what you really want to do. Rather than feel lonely, you can use the time to good advantage by investing in yourself.

Exercising is a proven way of lifting the mood. To get the best results from your workouts, you can hire a personal trainer. This will help you achieve any workout goal whether it is weight loss, flexibility or gaining muscle.

A trainer will keep you going even when you are ready to quit. It will also give you a reason to get out of the house. Keeping your workout appointments is a great way to get going in the morning. And going to the gym can also be a good place to meet new friends that have at least one common interest.

What other interests do you have that have not been making time for? Once you start thinking about it, you probably have a whole list of things you have been putting off. Now is your chance to make your way down that list and start checking things off.

If gardening is one of your loves, get yourself a new gardening book. No matter how much you may already know about the subject, there is sure to be someone who has some tips for you. Or try a book on a style of gardening that you have never tried before.

For example, herbs are more of a speciality type of gardening. Some are medicinal in nature and you can learn something about herbalism while you grow these as well. Other herbs are used more in cooking. Herbs that come in bottles can not match the taste that herbs from your garden will give your meals.

Cooking can be a very satisfying activity, especially if you share the results. Another option for expanding your knowledge is to invest in private cooking classes. You can go at your own pace and learn the type of cuisine that really interests you. In keeping with your fitness goals, you can have your lessons geared towards food that is as good for you as it is good tasting.

When you are ready to show off what you have learned, invite your workout buddies over for a home cooked meal. After a successful evening of entertaining in your home, it might be hard to remember that it all started when you were feeling a little down. And nothing has really changed since then but your own attitude.

How Can You Benefit From Law of Attraction – Find Out More

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

Your life changes when you change your thoughts. It’s easier said than done, but definitely worth giving it a shot. Ask and It’s Given is one of those few books which brought a paradigm shift for me. It completely altered my thinking, changed my belief system, and immensly improved every aspect of my life! It is undeniably, the single most powerful book I have every read.

The exercises and techniques in these books are amazingly effective. One of the key highlights of the book is the teachings and understanding about the Law of Attraction. Its worded in one of the most simplest manner which is easy enough to be comprehended by a beginner and at the same time concise enough for the ones who already know about it but want something which could remind and fine tune what they already know.

Ask and It’s Given, primarily underlines the teachings of Abraham which are all about self-determination. It outlines the fact that the individual’s health and well-being is first and foremost. If thats taken care off, rest will fall in place all by itself.  In other words, the world and nature are just fine. Fix yourself; and that by doing so you help others. Pretty damn simple=)

This book teaches you a precise methodology for becoming a more self-reliant, self-determined individual. It will help you dream big and attract all the right things in your life with a conscious mind.

Three intrinsic points about law of attraction

1. Every thought pulsates.
2. Every thought beams a signal.
3. Every thought attracts a matching signal towards itself.

Before I end this post, here’s a quote by Esther and Jerry Hicks from Ask and It’s Given “If you have the ability to imagine it, or even to think about it, this Universe has the ability and the resources to deliver it fully unto you.”

Ideas For Getting Through A Lonely Period

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

Keeping a positive attitude can be difficult at times, more so if you are by yourself. But you can turn this to your advantage by thinking about what you would like to do. Time alone can be really useful for investing in your own self-development.

One thing that has been found to be great for improving the mood is exercise. There are many workout goals you may have such as losing weight, gaining muscle or being more flexible. No matter what yours are, you can benefit from having a personal trainer.

Trainers keep you working out no matter how much you want to quit. The appointments also make you have to get up and out of the house. They are great for getting you going each morning. You also have the opportunity to meet new people who are interested in at least one thing you are interested in.

Most of us at least have a mental inventory of things we would like to learn. Think about yours and what other things you would like to try. There is no time like the present to start working your way down your list.

For example, if you love gardening, you could get a gardening book that will teach you something new. Even if you have gardened for years, there are sure to be suggestions you have not heard before. Or you might want to learn about a type of gardening that is unfamiliar.

For example, herbs are more of a speciality type of gardening. Some are medicinal in nature and you can learn something about herbalism while you grow these as well. Other herbs are used more in cooking. Herbs that come in bottles can not match the taste that herbs from your garden will give your meals.

It can be really satisfying to cook your own meals, even more so if you share them with someone else. Get more confidence in your abilities by taking private cooking classes. These allow you to learn exactly the type of cooking that interests you and at the speed you learn best. You might choose to learn how to cook delicious healthy meals in keeping with your exercise regiment.

Once you have gotten your menu down, you can ask your friends from the gym to your house for dinner. After your entertaining is over for the evening, you may find you have forgotten about the time you were down that got you started on this path. The main thing that will have changed after all of that is your attitude.

Does Success Fit Your Self Image?

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

It is your self image that holds the master key to your success. No matter what level of success you attain ‘outwardly’ in your life, your life will, ultimately, only ever develop to the extent that you do or, more specifically, the extent that your self image does.

It is our self image that makes us behave like we do. Therefore, the habits we adopt, and the way we ultimately ’see’ ourselves in our life, are a direct result of our self image and the way that our self image views ‘us’.

As you achieve success, wealth, or ’status’ in your life, if your self image does not improve, eventually it will press the master ‘re-set’ button on your life, and you will find yourself sliding backwards, sometimes at an alarming rate.

It boils down to the fundamental issue of ‘derservability’. Does the self image believe that we deserve to have all this fame/beauty/wealth/ fill-in-the-blank? If not, you will not be able to hold on to your success, because the self image, like all of us, has a very comfortable comfort zone.

If the self image asks “Is this really me?”, and the answer is “No”, the self image can not accept what we have become and will change or modify how we act in order to get us back within the boundaries of our comfort zone.

This is not related to ‘ego’, which is on the ‘outside’ and is dependent on ‘outside’ events, like praise or adulation from others. Your self image is the praise or adulation that you give yourself. It is the self-talk that goes on within your mind, the images that you reflect from within to the outside world.

So, to summarize, our thoughts, actions and habits are what get us to the level that we want to be at but, ultimately, it is the self image which is responsible for keeping us there.

Work Out And Start Getting Fit

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

There are lots of reasons why people commit to working out and a regular basis and keeping fit. The following examines a few of these reasons.

First of all, the most important reason why people might want to work out and stay fit is in to enjoy all of the health benefits that come with it. By getting exercise on a regular basis you are able to give your body a better chance of being able to live longer and fight off nasty illnesses and medical problems. Those who are always out and about making sure that they are fit are not those you will see in the hospital suffering from a heart attack. If you are able to develop a healthy lifestyle that incorporates a good fitness regime, you will find yourself feeling fitter, healthier, and happier.

In addition to this, working out not only helps you to maintain a healthy body, but also a healthy mind. By exercising and working out you will be able to release positive endorphins into your blood that work to improve your mood. This works much the same way as an antidepressant works on your body, so if you are ever feeling down or depressed, the best thing that you can do is go and get some exercise.

Another of the most common reasons why people all over the world will work out and keep fit is due to their profession. In pretty much any sort of sport you will need to be fit to be at the top of your game, and there will always be different exercises that you will need to do in order to maintain your ability and become more competitive in the field. Developing lean muscle growth is a great way to improve on your strength and sporting ability.

In the same way, servicemen, such as those in the military, are also required to lead extremely healthy lifestyles and to work out and keep fit in order to remain in peak physical form. There are many other professions that require this as well.

Another common reason is, of course, for personal satisfaction. People like to feel good about themselves and they like to look good. When you get up in the morning and look in the mirror, would you prefer to see someone in shape looking back at you or not? Tbe answer is simple. In much the same way, people also do this in order to attract a mate and look as attractive as they can be to the opposite sex.

These are a few reasons why people like to work out and stay fit. If you are ever struggling, then the best thing to do is to get yourself a personal trainer.
