Every generation has made an impact on the world. None have come close to the clout that the group of people born between 1946-1963. The Baby Boom generation has had more effect on the economies of the world than any group prior or since. It appears that they are determined to have that continue as they approach their golden years. Except it seems as if they have a plan to extend those years and it seems to be working.
During the early adult years, the Baby Boomers were motivated by things. Any toy or new idea was moved to massive success by their wants and needs. Industries that had struggled became huge. Ideas that may not have had a chance to survive, grew. That continued throughout this generations lives. Every time they wanted something to happen, it did. As they are now approaching their 60’s, the conclusion was drawn that there is still plenty of things for them to do. They still have more time and the most expendable income of any age bracket and are determined to not to grow old, gracefully. Many have started hiring a personal trainer to allow them to stay in peak physical condition. This has had a huge impact on the Wellness industry.
By working out with a professional, ageless Boomers are staying fit and functional. There appears to be nothing that this group cannot do, when they put their minds to it. They are finding that active bodies keep active minds. This is crucial to them as during their rise to success, they made many sacrifices. They spent less time with their families and more time working. They made tons of money, but never gave much consideration to saving. This could have presented them with a great challenge, but again, this group is resourceful. Again, they have found a better way.
As with everything else they have done, it seems as if, as a group, this group has massive strengths. Because they are now approaching what is considered a normal age to retire, they have determined that they need more time to save money, so that when they decide it is time to hang up their work lives, they can do it and have the finances to live a comfortable lifestyle. So, in essence, the Baby Boomers have decided to live longer! Again, having major impact on the associated industries, like health foods, homeopathic health aids, health clubs and the like.
Many factors were necessary for them to accomplish and getting in shape was one of them. They also realized that their current jobs, in many cases would not generate enough money for them to save much, as they still had a luxurious lifestyle. So, by using their computer, they determined that with some great ideas they could create Internet business income. And they have.
With a search for home based businesses, you will see hundreds, even thousands of business opportunities. This new genre of jobs, is giving the baby boomers an opportunity to have the best of all worlds. They have the chance to earn significant income, some part time, others full time. They now can spend more time with their families which they missed, earlier in their careers and as long as they continue to stay healthy, they can earn the money that will need whenever retirement becomes a reality.
So, as this ageless crew moves into their next couple of decades, it is likely that we will see a 100 year old Baby Boomer, running a billion dollar company. It may be an online business, or it may be a conventional position, but it will happen. So, stay healthy!!
